This is just going to be a small spam of places I plan to stop off at while I'm in Tokyo. Either by myself or not, I don't really mind! I realize some of these are really geeky, some just a little bit weird, but I've always wanted to go and this time I'm determined to do so!

Number one!
@Homecafe

We all know about maid cafe! @homecafe is the largest in Akihabara, sporting several locations of varied type, they are also foreigner friendly, some of their locations hosting english speaking maids! Worry not about being refused entry for not being Japanese at any of their cafes.

Number two!
Taito Akihabara

Out of all the arcades I went to on previous visits to Japan, I found the Taito ones to be the most entertaining, namely because I'm easily amused by simple games and they have some good UFO machines!

Number Three!
The Trump Room

How cool is this for nightlife? Trump room is one of Tokyo's more interesting bars/venues, they do a lot of strange nights, but I've been told its an experience just for the decor of the place! I know it definitely looks like somewhere I would LOVE to go!

Number Four!
Ice cream city in Sunshine city (Ikebukuro)

Located in the infamous Namja town, Ice cream city promises some of the most bizarre and disgusting ice cream flavours you could ever imagine. E.g. 'snake' icecream, 'octopus' icecream and 'salad' ice cream. I promise to video my adventure here, feel free to nominate the grossest one you can think of and I'll try it with video evidence.

Himuro Mansion

Anyone into ghost stories?
I'm a lover of horror and morbid tales, so the Himuro mansion tale has always been one of my favourite. No one knows it's exact location though, but it's still somewhere I would loooove to visit.
"According to urban legend, lying just beyond the city of Tokyo is one of the most haunted locations in all of Japan. The mansion is said to have been home to one of the most gruesome murders in modern Japanese history. Local lore has it that for generations, the Himuro family had participated in a strange, twisted Shinto ritual known as “The Strangling Ritual” in order to seal off bad karma from within the Earth, every half century or so. Many weird happenings have been reported in and near the old mansion; including apparitions of those who once lived there, bloody handprints and sprays of blood, which mysteriously appear on the walls.Sometimes, a small girl in a kimono is seen in one of the windows. To add to the mansion’s mystery, no one knows the significance of the vast tunnels the run underneath."

Brand series! - Gadget Grow

Ok Next!
I apologize in advance but this post won't be a hugely informative one. It's hard to find an awful lot out about Gadget grow, but it's a brand I've loved for a long while and I wanted to share.

First of all you're going to notice that Ryuutarou from Plastic Tree is the poster child for Gadget grow! He's been their main model from the start and I think the brand suits him perfectly. Full of layers, drapes and interesting cuts, Gadget grow is something made for me to drool over. (I find some of their stuff similar to the All Saints brand in the UK).
Started in 2006, the brand now has 4 stores, their main being based in Tokyo Laforet which are the pictures shown below ! As far as I am aware they only have their main site as their web presence, but if anyone knows of any further links like a blog or anything then speak up!

So this is going to be my second post about heading to Japan in the summer, more things are set in stone now so I thought I would share.

This trip is going to be a lot more interesting than my last, simply for the fact that I'm going to be getting chance to travel and experience some of the summer festivals in the north of the country. The time I managed to get off work actually falls on a really good time period, even though it's earlier than I first planned to travel, but the first week of August is festival season in Aomori! For those who don't know, Aomori prefecture is the very north before you cross to Hokkaido. At this time of year they have a lot of snow, but in the summer it's still as warm as ever. (Thankfully not as hot as Tokyo, but only by a few degrees!)

As you can see it's a distance from Tokyo. I'll be taking the bullet train the day that I land in Japan. First I'll have to travel from Narita into Tokyo itself and get the train from the central or Ueno station. It's a trip right to the end of the Tohoku line to Aomori city itself and then a regular train out to where I will be staying. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep on both the plane and the bullet train, if not I'll be super jetlagged when I arrive!

After then I'll be staying north until the friday, then back to Tokyo for 10 days until I fly home.

Once in Tokyo I'd like to see a band or two, shopping obviously, and then a few things like Namja town and Sunshine city, The Lockup ect ect. Recommend me your favourite places to go and I'll be sure to check them out !

For those who wanted to find out more about the bullet train here's some information pages which I found useful. I've used the bullet train before to travel south to Hiroshima and Osaka, but not everyone knows how to use it! I can recommend getting a 'JRP - Japan Rail Pass' if you plan to take any kind of long journey by train, it can make things a LOT cheaper.

I was sad to hear my favourite band will disband before August, so I wont beable to join any of their live shows this time, but here's to hoping that some of the members form again or join other bands!

When people mention H.naoto, most think of Hangry and Angry and similar brands within the 'H.naoto' identity, but today I wanted to take a look at Sixh! Starting off as a men's brand primarily, they now produce a female line. They lable the line as 'ghost-kei', a mix of gothic and host-kei, keeping the tailoring popular in both host and a lot of gyaru-o brands and giving it their own individual style. Purples and silvers are a popular accenting color in most of Sixh along with the black/white/grey as you can see in their A/W campaign in the video above, pink does creep into the girls collection though. Mint's collections seem to carry more muted colors though, beige and neutrals seem to be more to his liking.

Both Mint and Ibi have collaborated with popular hosts/models on previous occasions too! (A line named 617.) This was done with 条誠 (Makoto Ichijyou) and 皐月星七 (Setsuki Sena) from Men's Spider.

Has anyone ever been inside the stand alone H.naoto stores? I think they look amazing inside, even the shop itself is a piece of art!

Japan 2012

So today was the day where I finally banked the cash I'd been saving, and then went ahead and booked my flights to Japan for this year! It's been a while since I've been back there (this will be my third visit) and I'm really looking forwards to it. Lots of things have happened over the past few months, and I only decided this week that I was really going to go for it. I'm really glad I have now, and I just need to make sure to keep saving hard between now and then!

I'll be going for the 30th July - 13th August and it's going to be HOT.

Living in Wales we don't get much hot weather, so my summer clothes are almost non-existent, I'm going to have to invest in a couple of outfits I can take, then I can stock up on nice clothes while I'm out there. I plan to spend at least a week in Tokyo itself, and then for a few days I'll be traveling up to Hirosaki to stay with a friend of mine! So I'll get to see a new part of Japan which I've not been to before. My other trips involved Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Nara, Hakone and Tokyo and a few other places, so it will be really nice to travel north and see somewhere different.

Is anyone else planning on visiting Tokyo this year?

So after a good bit of thinking, I decided to come up with a mini series of posts to fill space in my blog, and hopefully make it a bit more informative for people to read, rather than just have random posts of my own. It's about time I put more effort into this.
Each of the posts will consist of one brand, but feel free to ask about something you'd like me to look into. Otherwise I'll just keep going with the ones I love the most. Monomania is on the 1st basement floor in the La Foret building in Harajuku, Tokyo! The brand has a limited color pallet, reflecting their name, mostly black and white pieces but there's color throw in here and there. A lot of their stuff is oversized and unisex, but there are a few pieces aimed at either male or female, really wearable no matter your size. (We all know how tiny some brands carry their clothes!) they are pretty well priced too, even more so if you catch them when they're having a sale (like now!).

Now onto some snaps. See if you can spot the brands signature print.

Please excuse my no makeup face, I just wanted to show my hair! I dip-dyed the ends a bright red at work. We had to use a 12% peroxide bleach to even get the dark dye to lift, and in the end I didn't even have to tint them. (That red was the color they lifted to!)

Long time no blog! But I promise I have some nice posts lined up for the upcoming days from now on! I've been doing some serious re-thinking, and now I actually have some inspiration to write again. I've also got some recent purchases to show that I think are amazing haha.

For now it's just a Christmas picture spam!
We always have a family Christmas, with presents on the 25th and a big meal in the afternoon. My mom always cooks, and I love it, it's a great time for everyone to come together.

As for gifts, I got a big new fishtank. My fish has grown huge now, it's not even funny, she hardly has space to swim! I took a few pictures of things that I got, the rest was just small bits and pieces I've asked ( or not asked ) for, and I got far too much chocolate! The shoes were a present to myself, but I'll write about them at a later date.

I'm stuck inside with the flu at the moment, so sorry for the lack of posts and pictures of myself. I've had a mad busy 16 working days without a break too. Hectic can only begin to describe. I went down to Bristol for a training course, I've been running back and forth between 3 jobs still, and my work mac is broken YET AGAIN. So! I've been slowly building up a stock of presents for christmas, I'm doing pretty well with my family, and now I only have a few small things for close friends left to get. Half of them I don't even know what to get hah. I'm shit at buying presents.

I also got a few things for myself that I've wanted for ages. Namely the eyeball hair bows! I already adore them. It took me a while to find a store that still had them in stock, and now I want them in different colours too, I bought the black ones for start.

I've been doing a good lot of thinking about my style recently, and I've become so uncomfortable with myself recently that I haven't wanted to dress up. I think half of thing comes from trying to force myself into a style I just don't feel good in. So, from now on, I'm not going to be afraid to include other styles in this blog. I don't mind if I lose followers, I just want this to be more me.

Again I'm at work. Sitting infront of a computer all day, you can probably tell by the fact that I'm writing here, that I'm pretty bored already. It's only 10am.

I wanted to share today's look, even though it's not that exciting. No lenses, no lashes. I enjoy doing things other than gyaru, so w/e, the haters can go fuck themselves. I just noticed how gross my nails look right now, but I had my extensions taken off, just to give them a rest for a while. My rings are from topshop and some random stall in Camden. I've had my skull for years! I had to alter it myself to make it fit my fingers though, or else it just randomly flies off. Bear buns, simple pink and black makeup, and lots of layers. It's getting damn cold here now, I'm waiting for the first snow, but somehow I don't think it's going to be as bad as last year.

I promise less webcam pictures and more proper photography from now on. I have no excuse other than laziness, my SLR is sitting at home gathering dust.

In my next post I'll be starting to log my current cosplay progress!

This is the almost finished hair..thing..for my Halloween cosplay.
I hope you guys like it haha.

I spend 30 minutes impaling those damn horns to my head through my wig with HUGE hair pins I 'borrowed' from work. It worked a lot better than I thought it would, and as long as I'm careful they don't budge. Of course I think I'll be waiting until I actually arrive at the expo to put them on....but I'm not entirely sure. Depends who else is leaving the house with me dressed up fully.
Let me know your opinion on them! I made them all myself.

Ok so some of these I got a while ago. First was my new D.I.A belt.
I bought a different one to begin with, but I just decided I didn't like it, so I sold it on and invested in this one instead. It goes much better with my current style, and I just love it to bits...

Next up! My beloved Juu sent me this as a late birthday present, and it was an amazing surprise. A new cheki book, but not just any, this is the Royz book, I don't know what she had to do to get it, but I love it. I also came into some more Royz things recently, thanks to a friend of mine who's out on the JET program at the moment, and had a chance to go and see them play. My book is getting pretty full lately too!

I have 14 cheki currently, which I know isn't that many, but for me it is! I'm determined to fill my book at some point, but when bands don't often sell cheki as goods overseas, it makes it hard to find them unless you can use auction sites or have amazing friends!

I love my new wig. It's almost done being styled now, and I'll be sure to keep posting each stage of my cosplay once I have it done. Here's just the wig for you guys to see, and me messing around with my SLR in my dim lit room. I know they are blurry, but I kind of like them like that! It's because the camera was on auto and I didn't have my tripod, and of course the dim light means my shutter is open longer, hence the weird motion blur as my hand wobbles haha!

These two pics here are good at showing the true colour of the wig. It's like a dusky rose pink, I adore it. Yeah and I'm wearing no makeup again because it's a sunday and I'm fucking lazy.

Bored hair styling.

I put all my extensions together and dyed/sewed them today, I have some pics, but I thought they might be a bit boring for you all. It's only hair dye afterall. So while watching daytime tv I decided to play with my hair haha. I got bored half way through so it's not perfect and there is still a huge chunk of straight hair at the back of my head.

I had a play, and this is what happens when I'm bored. Took me about 40minutes to get from straight hair to this. Yes I am wearing my pajamas, and I don't have makeup on either, and these are taken with my webcam. Have fun!

So I was going to do a post all together about my recent gets, but I'll be doing that tomorrow instead! I have lots of things to show you guys. For now though, I had to explode over the package that arrived this morning.

Para:noir's first full album! I pre-ordered the limited dvd edition. It comes with the full 14 track album, a bonus dvd with the pv for 21g, and then a random signed member photo. I ended up with Aizawa..which wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed to find someone to trade with.

I adore Para:noir, love their music, it's refreshing and different while still ticking all the boxes for me. Fast paced, vocals that don't sound like a cat dying, and that weird mix of metal and techno? It really is the best. 21g had re-mastered versions of some of their earlier songs, and one that really caught my attention was the new version of Merciless Sorrow, now called Merciless Sorrow -666-. Akane changed the pitch of the vocals, and the guitars are that much sharper, you can really see how the band progressed, seeing as this track was their very first release.

Just amazing really!
They have come on leaps and bounds since starting out and changing a couple of members.
(Yuu from VanessA was the latest to join their ranks as drummer!)

If you want to try something new I can really say give them a try! I'm in love with all the tracks on this album, a couple of good ballad type songs too and killer guitar solos on the rest! I hope their next release will be as good as this.

Small rant.

I keep thinking lately that I need to improve my style, and I've been neglecting to post pictures of myself on here until I've done that. I'm taking these pictures as inspiration, and working up to what I hope is a new leaf in September. I've already started making myself up more, my eye makeup is always with lashes and lenses these days, unless I'm working in the salon, where hair extensions and big lashes aren't so practical. I do wear lenses and smaller lashes there too however, so not all is lost.

I need to make a big effort on my wardrobe from now on, and I started doing that today with a huge clear out of old clothes and things I don't wear. Now I just need to work hard to earn cash and expand my coord choices! Does anyone else ever get stuck feeling like everything they have is just not good enough? I find it really hard sometimes, but from now on I'm not going to let self confidence..or the lack of it..hold me back!

Nothing too exciting today. I had work so I wasn't able to wear anything more exciting than my same old dress, but I got my bangs cut and felt like wearing my extensions for once. I pinned my hair to the side so it all fell over my right shoulder and wore simple makeup, but I like how the look turned out so I decided to share!

Did anyone else notice the new edition of Soul Sister magazine is out tomorrow? I'm going to be picking up my copy for sure. From the previews I've seen on blogs it looks like we can expect an issue focusing around more summery styles. Lots of bikinis and bare skin.

Is anyone else looking forwards to them continuing this magazine? I was expecting it to be more of a one off type spin from the male orientated SOUL, but it's great to see it being at least pushed into a second issue! I for one hope that it becomes a long running thing! I fell in love with the first issue and the subjects it covered.

I discovered last week when I was at work that they were opening a Lush store in my town. I almost did the squealy excited dance in the middle of the street..no joke. I adore Lush products, and now the store here is open I'll be there every damn weekend! Bastards....

So I popped in there today after I sorted out some issues with my bank and posted my mail out. Spent a good 30 minutes if not more drooling over everything in the shop and then decided on two things. The Karma bubble bar, which is the orange and pink swirl at the front, my staple Lush product (I'm addicted to this OK?), turns the water bright orange and smells devine. Then I chose something I've not had before, the Honey Bee bath ballistic. Promises smooth skin and milky yellow water with a Honey scent.

Now I can't wait to have a bath later.

So Mondays are my only proper day off from work these days, so I thought rather than laze about in bed all day I would actually make the effort to go out! I didn't actually buy that much, just a couple of new lip glosses, the new copy of Elle, and then an iced coffee and starbucks caramel latte to take home.

I wore THAT leopard jumpsuit, the one which is an almost exact D.I.A dupe save for the straps, black cardigan and then suspender tights and some flats. I did consider wearing heels, but my feet are aching from work (in heels) so I thought I would give them a rest hah. In the pic below I snapped in the River Island dressing rooms, you can see how long my extensions are in the mirror behind me there. I decided to get another set to sew into them, seeing as they have moulted quite a lot now and got thinner thanks to my hair abuse.

These were the lipglosses I picked up! They remind me of the dollywink range in both consistency and that creamy opaque colouring. They taste nice and smell good, last well and aren't too sticky (something I despise about lipgloss), they're also cheap! Two for £4.99 or £2.99 each. Win win.

And of course my starbucks for later. Om nom nom.

I've been waiting on a package for the last few days, and finally today it arrived!
I bought a top off Auok and a copy of soul sister from amazon.jp. I've become addicted to the D.I.A / Tsuyome style recently as a lot of you have probably noticed and I just couldn't resist this beauty. It's going as part of my outfit for the Nega live in September.

Onto Soul sister now! If anyone wants me to scan the whole magazine I will, but only if there is enough interest. I was really impressed with this magazine, the street snaps look genuine for once, and the hair section made me feel like I could actually achieve some of the styles myself and not have to drag myself off to a salon. I loved the section about the bikes and cars too~

For now I'm just going to share my favourite coords after having a fast flick through.

I love this lip service onepiece / top+shorts here on this last shot, I've seen it on rakuten in brown, but I really want this colour.

I just noticed that tanning has given me freckles over my face...I've never had them before, even in the summers. How bizarre!

Diamond Lashes + Minx

Trying out my new diamond lashes today.
The princess bottom lash came last week, and my glamorous lash appeared on Saturday while I was at work. I went out with my parents for dinner and decided to try them out.

The only issue I have with the princess lash it that it's fragile! and I'm really not a careful person when it comes to taking lashes off my face or cleaning the glue from them. So since having them, I'm already on my third pair....but I'm determined not to pull out any hairs from these!
Glamorous lash is amazing compared to the lashes I've been wearing recently, and so different from my dolly wink No.1. I'm in love with the length and the look. It's not too thick and therefore not too much like drag queen lashes, but you still get the impact from the pointed shape and the actual length of the lashes themselves.

I also forgot to mention I went on a course for minx nails a week or so ago! I now have the training to do it at work, and I came away with awesome leopard nails. I can't wait to order all the stuff and get doing it on clients.

I'll do a proper review when I have the time, hopefully tomorrow once I'm back from my shopping trip. It will be my first proper day off all week, I'm looking forwards to not waking up at 6am to go to work. I'll post gets and a more in-depth look at my makeup/lashes so stay tuned!

I got a quick request on showing how I use mbok and the shopping services available to use with it! Ideally, you want a friend in Japan who will use the auction sites for you without charging some stupid high commission, but obviously we don't all have that.

First of all, here's how I find all the gyaru based items I want. I hope I made it simple. If anyone else knows a better way, please speak up!

Ok, so first up we have the main page. You need to look to the left and the menu, click the second option down! Of course if you know what you're looking for then just type it into the search bar at the top! Keep in mind that Auok is most responsive to Japanese as opposed to english names for things.

OK! So once you've clicked onto the next page, scroll to the bottom of that left hand menu and click this button at the bottom. Now that should again take you to another similar page, but this time, the menu bar should hold a list like this, and then you want to select the 109/gal option!

Once you've got that far, the menu should now show you a list of all the brands you could ever want, and now you can pick and choose where you want to go! As for the items themselves, they should show a similar set of information to this below.

Number 1: Price!
Number 2: Number of bids!
Number 3. Time left!

That should be the important bits, and now a quick look at shopping services for you to use.
Of course there is celga, but they can be confusing.

I wrote a little before about my love of cosplay, this time I'm going to show you all the character I adore. I know it's horribly popular...but hey...I like to think I put the effort in to at least look good?!
I even coloured my eyebrows TEAL to match my wig....

These were taken at Abunai in Holland last summer, I wanted to go again this year, but thanks to money issues I won't be going. I will be attending the expo in London in october though! Rather than two brand new cosplay, I thought I would break out my Sandplay dress again, it needs more love!

This months gets!
First up is this little leopard jumpsuit! The light from my window washed my legs of any possible tan and that makes me sad, I've gone really brown now! I'll be sure to take a better photograph when I get the chance. I love the jumpsuit though, I was debating to get a M or S, but ended up with the M because the chest on this is a little small fitting, and I have big boobs hahah! Cute though right? Looks like it could be from D.I.A.

Next is a new set of nails! I did have green ones on before but I never posted about them, these are a pink/blue set and I love them. I got to keep them reasonably short now, because trying to do massage/facials with long nails is not so good, I end up scratching people if I'm not too careful.

Then last but not least, my D.I.A belt! I've had this for a while, but only now did I decide to write about it. I'm yet to wear it out anywhere, because all I've been doing recently is working, and I have to wear my salon uniform. I LOVE THIS! It's amazing really, the quality is well worth the money I paid. The chains and metal pieces on the belt are heavy and not plastic-y like a lot of cheap metal jewelry seems to be these days. The sickle buckle is different, but the black strap on the left allows you to adjust the size rather than having a conventional belt fastening.

I really do adore this item, and I would tell anyone to go out and get themselves one if they like D.I.A. Skinny Lip also do alternatives, almost the same designs as D.I.A but a cheaper version!

Now I need to stop spending so much cash. I ordered Nega tickets, and a set of Diamond princess lash. Next on the list is another set of lashes, a top I've had my eye on, and flights! My poor wallet....

Everyone loves Akiba, and today I decided to give a small talk on maid cafe! It's nothing in depth, so don't get your hopes up, I don't know enough about the way they work to give a full speech on them, but I can't help but love love love the whole idea.
I only ever visited one on my very first trip to Japan, '@home cafe' and I loved it. I had the obligatory omurice. They do all kinds of things though, you can get them decorated with sauce, don't you think it's cute? Maybe I'm just a sucker for slightly perverted things..maids being one.

I love the uniforms, and how they vary from place to place, but yet the maids still put a little personalization into their outfits. I wish we had places here that catered to this kind of thing, but then again I would be in there every day and all my money would be gone hahah.

A quick photo of the new babies just like I promised. There's one black and white like momma, one black with brown patches (almost tri-colour), one pale spotted tabby, and one dark classic looking tabby. These were unplanned! We had their mom as a stray kitten just before christmas, and we never knew if she had been snipped....well...as soon as she got big we knew the answer was no! Now once these babies are homed, it's off to the vets with Lula. (Momma's name is Tallulah, we call her Lula for short)

So I've had a few things arrive in the mail this week, and I also have a house full of new babies! My cat had kittens today, so far she has 4, but we're not too sure if there are more to come. Once she's settled I'll take a couple of photographs for you guys. Fingers crossed she'll be a good momma.

The other things I received were my d.i.a belt, which is the sparkliest thing I own (is sparkliest even a word?), one of the nyx glitter cream pallets, and my tan accelerator. The nyx pallet is amazing, I'll do a short review on it for you first.

The first thing I noticed was how vivid the colours are, and how thick the glitter coverage was too. The cream that the glitter is set into isn't really opaque at all, it's more of a solid gel just as a carrier for the coloured flakes. The amount of glitter in the gel means that you get a nice solid coverage if you dab it on using the applicators, or you can go for a thin layer with longer strokes. It stays well, and only creases a little. I wore this pallet to work on saturday, and I work 9 hour shifts, no fall out and only slight creasing, I re-applied a little on the inner corners of my eyes at lunch without the need for anything else!

I'll give it a 9/10, simply because of that crease factor. I had to dab a transparent powder over the top to keep it on all day with minimal movement. The colours are stunning, the consistency is great, and the applicators work well for their purpose, they are more rubbery than the normal foam applicators you get in pallets like this.

Those who know me well, know that I have a weird obsession with creepy things. Mostly traditional horror or cutesy themed halloween creepy things. I plan on going to the London expo here in october to indulge in my addiction. I'll be trying to do two cosplay, one on each of the main days, keep an eye out for the girl with the fake eyeballs and creepy facepaint if you're going! I enjoy a copious amount of fake blood too haha.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I've been busy with work and other things, I've also been coming home tired and feeling really uninspired. I finally decided to kick off this block and at least write something for you guys! I'm home, watching the Monaco F1 and feeling sorry for myself with this evil cold and headache, why not~

I'm doing one of those 'in my bag' posts, hope it's not too boring for you guys.

My bag is from a brand here called MISO. You can find it in the bigger republic stores. I think it cost me about £30, and it's lasted me for years, still no sign of giving up. It's like the tardis, I can fit tonnes of shit into it including my netbook.

So far at the moment, starting from the left and moving across, we have~

Or maybe a bag organizer would be good seeing how everything always gets tangled up with my headphone cable and I can never find my phone.

Tanning 2.

As you guys know I've been tanning in a more serious way recently, and I've finally started to catch a nice colour! I'm working towards a dark shade for september, and it's finally happening. I'll be getting a tan accelerator I was recomended by a good friend of mine, one of the hairdressers in the salon where I work. Don't be scared by the name, it won't make you black, it's just a strong accelerator which contains melanin, so it's designed to work faster and give a deeper tan than most. It smells amazing too.

These are my legs as of late, and remember I used to be super ghostie white, and this for me is TAN! I'm super happy. My legs were the last part of my body to catch any colour at all, they are still slightly paler, but hey, I'm glad there's something at last.

This is also the kind of tan I am aiming for, wish me luck! I'll keep up with the progress reports!

The last few weeks I've been trying to make a real effort to put together a couple of outfits in my mind. All I want is two for september, and I've already put the first step in motion. I bought that belt I wanted hah.

I can buy a pair of nice denim shorts anywhere here, and I already have the fluffy leg warmers should I choose to go for that type of coord, however, looking for a couple of different tops is really driving me mad haha. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

I'm also thinking about selling my tutuha babydoll. Again, it's just not quite the style I want to go for, and I know the shape isn't the most flattering on me. Are any of my readers interested?

Tanning.

So anyone who knows me personally knows that I'm whiter than white usually hah. Ghostie type white. Recently I started to go tanning, I'm determined for a change this summer. I began using the sunbed at work for 3, then 6, then 9 minutes a month or two ago, but our one isn't all that powerful so I switched to a salon in the bigger town where I have my second job.

I feel so space age when I visit this one. They have a sparkly floor and the machine itself has settings to spray you with aromatherapy while you're on there!

I took a course of 30 minutes out after having a couple of single sessions to try it out. This sunbed is much more powerful, so even with the tan I built up at work, I have to use it for less minutes. I started out at 6 and today I moved up to 8! I'm really excited, I'm one of those people who has never been tanned, and now I'm starting to really get colour! To help along my tan I bought a moisturizer with a 'hint of self tan' which are popular here. Let me tell you now, a HINT of self tan? HAHA. Lies. This one turned me really damn brown and I only used it once. I even have those horrible fake tan smears between my fingers because I didn't think to clean my hands further than a quick wipe off seeing as it was only meant to be a gradual tanner.

I can recommend it though, because the colour it turned me is certainly nice, especially over the places I've caught a tan the most so far.

So this last week I've been super busy. I traveled down to the wonderful south of the country to see Alice ! We met up for an interview and photoshoot with the wonderful guys from Tokyo Telephone in Brighton and then just spent the rest of the time we had lazing around and eating a vast amount of food.

I promise to blog more about the interview itself once the article and the photographs are published, but it was amazing fun and we were lucky to be blessed with stunning weather and only a bit of wind. Me and Alice did spend a good few hours getting ready though, hair takes a long time to get right even when it's just one big curly mess, especially dealing with a retarded amount of extensions hah.

And last but not least, a close up of my make. The lighting seems to have vanished my lashes though, I can promise you they were there! Dollywink top and ebay special bottoms lol.

I don't even know what to blog about. I have two posts I was thinking about, but I decided this blog is turning into too much of an 'everyday' thing, and not enough about my fashion and lifestyle. So from here on out, I promise less of the personal mumbo jumbo and more about other things!

I'll be traveling down to Brighton on friday (Royal wedding day), so I'm going to be stuck on a coach, but it's all worth it because I get to see Alice and hang out for a few days, and we're also going to be interviewed! More on this later in the week though. I'm going to be wearing a similar outfit I have before, but I'm confident it looks good and you have yet to see pictures of it.

Hair troubles.

Ok so, I've been mentioning how I'm a little displeased with my hair recently, I thought I might touch on it now.

My hair...arghhhh. I've had short hair for the past..I'm not even sure...6 or something years? It's never really been past my shoulders, and it's ranged from a couple of inches long, to a messy bob. So now I have hair that's about 2 inches below my collar bones when it's straight. It get's in my eyes, in my mouth, sticks to my lipgloss, goes everywhere when it's windy hahah. I'm just not used to it, but there's no way I'm cutting it, I worked so hard to get it this long! I do intent to grow out my bangs though, even if I just have them cut back in again at some point, I'm bored of this straight cut.

I was also contemplating dying my hair up to a lighter reddish-pink, I just want a change for the summer. I collected some inspiration.

So Saturday I worked my second job, which is in Debenhams, a big department store. It's so boring, but it gives me a bit of extra cash each month, so I can't complain really! I have to be up at 6am to walk and catch the bus at 7am to start my shift, and I'm there until 6pm. So tiring, but again, I got to think of the money.

This is what I wear to work, nothing exciting, just a black shift dress with gold collar, a black cardigan, black tights and gold shoes. I have to be at least somewhat smart looking! I'm just glad I don't have to wear one of their fugly checked shirt uniforms. I always manage to look angry on photos I take myself.... I'm also trying to grow out my bangs, it's already bugging me and it's not covered my eyes yet!.
Also today I cleaned out my fish. I hadn't done it for ages and felt so guilty! She's so big now, I think soon she'll be needing a bigger tank. Her name is Remi.

Ah the joy of spending my friday night infront of my computer with a glass of wine. I swear I'm not an alcoholic!
I might have gone out, but after a week of working my ass off, and another 9 hour shift tomorrow, I really don't fancy it on a friday. So yes! Wine by myself it is haha.

On another note, it's been really fucking hot here today. 26celcius! I was gutted that I was stuck in the salon all day, I just wanted to sit outside and lay in the sun. I did manage to get in another 6 minutes on the sunbed. I'm finally beginning to notice some colour comming through on my usually super pale skin. I'll keep you all updated with how that's going. I'm going to move up to twice a week now too.

Something about my fashion inspiration.

So we all enjoy different kinds of fashion and take inspiration from lots of places, and I thought I would share some of mine. Now, I may be a member of a gal cir, but I in no way just follow gyaru fashion. I adore lots of different things, and only a small ammount of that includes gyaru. I don't particularly want a lable, because I like to think my style is my own, and recently I've been kicking myself for not having the confidence to style myself how I want when I'm out of work. I'm really working on that confidence issue in this new year. (I know it's already April, but hey, these things take time haha!).

The girl on the right looks good for me, because her outfit looks effortless, like she just threw it on without thinking, and the two of them together show that you can hang out with people from different styles if you like. Screw this clique thing.

Black outfits! I have a thing about black clothes, I would say 90% of my wardrobe is made up of black items, the other 10% white and various shades of brown/grey and animal print.

I also have a thing about twins and twin coords, I would really love to do one with someone, but I've yet to find someone the same height and with the same colour hair haha. I really love opposite twin coords too, where someone wears one colour and the other wears a contrasting one. I've seen the most done in black and white.

The more traditional aspects of Japanese fashion and clothing is so interesting, I can't help but enjoy it, I just wish I could start including small elements into my own style. I also find myself drawn to the slightly 'weird' spin people often put on it, like the above photo.

Obscure fashions are amazing, I do not give two shits if it's not 'gyaru', it's more important being an individual to me. I wish I had the guts to wear something like this and have cats tattooed down my arm. This one isn't so much about the actual style but more about the confidence again. But I do have an undying love for weird things. I'll write you more about that on another post.

Girls with simple coords which still look effective. These two still look gyaru to me, even it's not the typical 'gyaru' look so many people here take on. This seems to apply more to the first than the second, but where's the liz lisa floral prints and big massive ageha/egg style curls everyone almost insists on?

Slightly 'artistic' pictures of Genki camwhoring?
More like dark hair and dark eye makeup. I don't know what it is about it, but I love this kind of look on girls too. The smudged eye and creepy look. I'm not sure, I think it's my love of odd things sneaking back in!

So there is a quick look at the kinds of things I find inspiring! I'll do more on my other interests in another post, but I think fashion shouldn't be so limited, it's just people being closed minded in my thoughts.

I got my nails re-done today. The black was nice and all, but they were growing out and they were a little too..in your face(?) almost for work. I kept the style and the sparkle theme going in this set too though ! Again my friend did them at her house for me, rather than spend big bucks to go to a salon, she'll do them for me cheap.

I took some snaps while she was doing them and then here's the finished product! Not that long this time, I still have to beable to work around people and not scratch them to death lol.

I'm sharing with you now my love of technological dubstep. If you've never listened, then I really do ask you to now, but keep an open mind. It's best listened to with amazing speakers, or a good set of headphones so you can really get the full effect. I prefer this harder/harsher type of electronic music, especially when it comes to dubstep, Reso really is an amazing composer. I've yet to have the pleasure of seeing him live, but me and my friends regularly visit a club in Bristol for an event called Gener8r, which is a 9pm - 9am event of dirty dubstep, breakcore, and usually some jungle in there too.

I've been slacking again with my blog posts, but this week I've been pretty rushed off my feet with various things. I did have the chance to order a small couple of things recently though and I thought I would share my love for one of them!

I love Nyanpire, I'm on a mission to collect more things, as of now my little collection is a small sized black plush, a couple of phone charms, and a drinks tumbler. I'm making an effort now to post pictures of my outfits, but this is the only decent spot I can find around my house where I can get the sun and a space to set my camera so I can use the timer. I lack a full length mirror haha. This is the sort of thing I wear on a day to day basis when I'm not dressing up for anything special. Casual style! I've decided today that from now on I'm going to make a real conscious effort to change the things I dislike about myself. I want to lose 14lb by the summer and keep that weight off, I've started tanning and I want to keep that up, I'm also trying to update my style.

I bought a couple of things for the summer today. First was a pair of sandals because my others broke, these are HOT. I love studded things.

Second was a long onepiece top knit thing.. I don't know what to describe it as really, but it's full of holes and really light, nice drape when it's on too, and you can wear the sleeves at a different position for a different look. It's low at the back too, so it shows off half of my tattoo which I really like. (I have a spinal tattoo for those who don't know).

So yeah! that's all for today, and tomorrow I really am promising an outfit post, even if it is just a simple one.

I'm wearing a short dress and we decided to get our boobs out for a joke on one Purikura. I don't even have the whole lot out man, it's cleavage. Aaaaaah the prudish attitude of some people makes me laugh. I love my body, I'm not afraid to show it off. And if I'm honest, I've seen far far far worse pictures from other gyaru and even more so from the Japanese gals.

I'm back from the depths of London hah. With a chest infection and a snot farm for a nose, but who cares really, it was good fun. We turned up at the signing in good time, had a couple of drinks, and waited for the guys. I took Ryo a can of beer, he seemed amused, so I asked for a hug and got one, much to the fangirls disgust. I got my old self titled album signed, stayed for another drink, and then headed back to the hostel. We wandered around for a while, got Alice sorted with some epic gold nails, and then just chilled out and chatted about shit hah. We needed to be up early to start getting everything ready so there wasn't much excitement that first night.

The most important thing of the next day! Breakfast! Om nom nom. Alice had the pancakes and I had the sausage muffin. After we'd been for food, the epic tast of getting ready began! it took me so long to curl my hair, but it was worth it in the end. I just need to re-invest in a decent curling iron. We moved onto makeup next, and I think on monday I might post you guys a short tutorial on the basic look I have! Here's all the equipment~

I wore my bambi lenses, and I was slightly worried they were going to be uncomfortable, being the largest I own, but I was pleasantly surprised, and after a few minutes of putting them in I couldn't feel them at all. And all together, the finished look!

The band were alright, I've see them before a few times, and I prefer their older stuff, but this weekend was more about hanging out with people and just having a great time. I drank a copious ammount of alcohol, but managed not to suffer a hangover. Now I'm just going to spam the rest of the pics.

Nothing special today.
My friend is trying to practice doing gel nails, so I let her loose on mine hah. They are short enough to still be practical and not too pointed seeing as I work. I'm glad I managed to get them done before girugamesh at the weekend anyway. You can see she's still learning, the shape isn't perfect and neither are the edges, but who cares, you got to start somewhere! Black gel with purple and multi-colour glitter.

Does anyone else get super impatient when they know things are in the mail?
I'm one of those types who thinks that as soon as I've bought it, it should be there infront of me. It's the worst when it's something I really really want. If I get tracking numbers, then I'm on there every 5 minutes to see if it's changed at all, if not, then I spend every day asking 'Did the postman bring me anything?' when I get picked up from work.

I think I need to learn to be more patient. Especially with things comming from overseas.

So I thought I would show my latest gets. I'll do it in two parts because I'm a lazy shit really.
First I'll go with clothes, and then second I will do other bits and pieces.

Of course I'm gonna be posting a picture of this here. It's my new baby and I love it so much. I wanted this tutuha onepiece for ages, especially in black, but I never managed to find it instore or on auction sites until a while ago. I plan to wear it for the giru live along with my fluffy leg warmers and such. This thing is indecently short on me however, so I have to wear shorts underneath it to save me from flashing my underwear to the entire venue.

Next is another tutuha item lol, but I dunno, I'm considering selling it, because it is cute, but there's the fact that something about it doesn't really fit my style currently. So if anyone feels like offering me a good price, go ahead. I've only worn it once and it comes with a pair of arm warmers. I might keep it though...I have yet to decide. So for clothes gets, that's it recently, I just bought a shit load of other things to go along with it. I'm wanting another necklace and yet another onepiece. I'm trying to refrain from buying shoes until I've got decent wear out of my black platforms.

Cardiff and things

So I went to cardiff today! The lovely capital of wales. I was there for a class really so I wasn't able to do much in the way of shopping, but of course I found time to visit the AllSaints store! I also checked out the disney store, but they didn't have what I wanted and the fuckers don't let you take pictures in there either. I got told off by some huge security guy for taking out my camera in there. No love for big security man. I mean seriously, do I look like a terrorist?

I have spent far to much money in this shop on occasions, and own too much of their stuff. But ughhh, it's amazing, and the quality justifies the price for me. I could go on forever, but I'll not hahah. I ate muffins, and ice cream, and coffee...and yeah. That was about it.

Considering wearing my tutuha top tomorrow for class. It's the black unionjack top.

I just couldn't resist.
We went into the chocolate makers in my town so my sister could get her friend a birthday present, and they had pistachio ice cream. The place makes it's own ice cream, and they always have loads of different flavours, but really pistachio is my ultimate weakness and I had to have it haha.

The whole shop is amazing, it's so so tiny, and the cooking area is behind in another room, but it's totally packed with goodies you could only imagine! They make the most amazing cakes, I'll try and take a picture of their window display with them in when I next walk past.

Bambi lenses

Here's the review I promised on the lenses I got from the wonderful Eyecandylens! They were quick and helpfull with the shipping, and because of the New year promotion they had going, I only had to pay a small ammount! I was so happy.
The lenses arrived after about a week, packaged nicely in bubblewrap so the bottles wouldn't break, in perfect condition so I opened them right up and left them to soak in fresh solution. They also provided a free lense case with my order which is great.

Now onto the pictures!
Obviously here they are in the case, you can see the dark outer ring and then the way they fade through green to a golden colour, I was afraid that they wouldn't blend well with my blue eyes because of that, but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though the colour change is obvious, it's printed in a way that lets my natural colour come though. Here on the one in one out shot, you can see the enlargment they give, and hah, they are pretty huge compared to the other lenses I have. The black ring prevents much of a halo effect, but you get it a little if they slip more than a little when you're looking sideways. All these pictures here are taken without makeup and in natural lighting infront of my window, the ones below however, are obviously with a light makeup and lashes, the left without flash and the right with!

I'll score them here now.

Comfort: 8/10. They were a little uncomfortable at first, but settled down after a few minutes.

Colour: 8/10. I love the look and colour of these lenses, but they would only really be suitable for a more dramatic look. Definately not ones I could wear to work.

I should be doing work but instead I'm blogging.

I'll do you all a small spam. Sadly not about gyaru, but hey, that's not all I'm about. You'll be getting an entry from me tomorrow because my bambi lenses arrived in the mail yesterday! I wanted to take pictures of them in the daylight when I have more than a few hours after I'm home from work before I'm in bed.

I thought I would give you a small spam on my favourite guitarist of the moment!

Call me a fangirl if you want but he's adorable and he recently changed his look for Royz's new release. A new hair cut and colour, new costume, everything. It's sweet to see how they have progressed so quickly over the last year, and with Kuina moving from celestial garden to Royz I was happy to see him doing more in the music industry while he's still so young. The band themselves hail from Osaka.

But yeah....

His hair makes me jealous.

I plan to see them over christmas, even if it means trecking up to Osaka for a day or two. I'm just hoping that they come down to Tokyo for a live.

Even if it is miserable weather at least I'm not at work. A had a nine hour shift at my second job yesterday, it was soul killing but hey that's life, and I need the money at the end of it. At least the people I work with are nice enough and I'm telling you that makes it a hell of a lot easier to deal with. Anyway, I had a lie in this morning, so I didn't get up until 9:30am, it was the most amazing thing ever not to have to wake up at 6am.

So on the agenda toda y is cleaning. My room needs a tidy and I got to get rid of some of the shit I seem to have collected, the clutter is honestly driving me mad. So out it goes. I would like to see if I can get some new bedsheets too, I'd like some Zebra print ones. Nothing special, just black and white. I thought I would also show you guys some of my shit! First up, the magical little blue book which recently came into my posession.

It's not that full right now, but it's hard to get hold of polaroids because bands just don't bring them to the shows here, and the last time I went to Japan I didn't feel the need to pick any up. The first page is my two Rai cheki. Rai was Unsraw's guitarist before Madoka and Jin officialy joined, and when I managed to get two of him without being able to pick at their Netherlands live, I was seriously happy because he's always been my favourite member.

Next is my Ibuki cheki. Only one of him, but I never really intended to have it anyway? It was a whim thing and if I'm honest I'm not a massive D=OUT fan, their lives are just hillarious and the band members are great fun. It brings back memories of them trying to throw Hikaru out of a Second floor window... The pick you see there is from the Exist Trace live in London last year. It belonged to Naoto and I managed to get it by feeling it under my shoe after being mugged by the fangirls when it dropped down on me.

Then last but not least! My Dio cheki which my sweetie picked up for me when they toured europe last and I couldn't afford to go. She got quite a few, but because I sold my soul to Ivy she gave me these as a present! I know you guys might not find this the most exciting thing, but I wanted to write here not just as a fashion blog, but also about myself too. I love bands and I'm never going to stop loving them! Call me a fangirl if you want hahaha. I'm determined to fill my little blue book, because it's all about the memories in the end!

So here I'm going to make a huge ramble on what the fuck I'm going to wear to the girugamesh concert. It's going to be pink marbles second meet, and after all the shit we've got recently I want to make sure I look good! My extensions are in the post, but I doubt they will be here for a week, so it means I'll be making a separate post about possible hair styling.

For starters, I think I'll be wearing my TutuHA dress again, it's that dress which they released a while ago and it sold out so fast. The first colours out were red, black, and then white, and I know you can't get the black and white versions instore anymore, they only had a couple of the red left and the other colours with the free underwear that were released later at a cheaper price. Still, I managed to get the black version via Mbok and it is my pride and joy right now. Anyone who knows TutuHA knows this dress. I'm also lusting after the white one, but have yet to find it on sale anywhere.

Teaming it with a pair of killer heels and black fluffy leg warmers this time. I would go for thigh highs, but I'm not confident enough in my legs to go that way, so suspender tights it is. I have a pair of the henry holland ones which were popular here a few months ago and they would be great. Now, the last time I wore this dress, I made the mistake of not taking a proper jacket and just wearing a cardigan...fuck me I FROZE. If I get a decent ammount of money at the end of the month, I might order a cute leopard fur coat from ebay to spice up the outfit some.

Come on guys. Find something new to bitch about. I stopped caring after last week. I said my piece. I'm not mixing the styles, or at least I'm trying not to. I just happen to have red hair and wear darker clothes. Secrets like this just make me determined to try harder. Maybe something constructive next week please.

Speaking of hair!
I bought myself a new set of clip ins! Mine were getting a bit tired, so I thought I would treat myself and if they need dying a slightly different colour, then so be it, I don't particularly mind. My hair colour changes quite fast thanks to my dye colour anyway, so I don't expect them to match 100% of the time, I'll just have to be sure to wear them when the colour is fresh and not faded.

Pictures later when I can actually be bothered to go get dressed. Today is my free day for the first time in ages, and I feel like bumming around in my pajamas OKAY?!

Geo Nudy series.

I own a pair of the Nudy series, they were the first lenses I ever bought and I love them. The Golden blue colour almost perfectly matches my eyes, so they are great for a subtle enlargement. At 14.0mm they are not the biggest lenses I own, but I still think these are bigger than my other 14's because the area which is printed is larger, the clear rim around the edge left to a minimum.

Comfort, I give a 7/10 because at almost a year old now and comming to the end of their life, they are still not quite right. I can feel them when I first put them in and that discomfort stays throughout wearing. They dry quite quickly, and feel thicker than other lenses I own.
Colour, I give 9/10 because they perfectly merge with my own colour, have a good coverage but don't look horribly fake. People often comment on my eyes but can never point out right away that I'm wearing contacts. They also give a nice halo effect. You will have to excuse my no makeup face, but I just wanted to show the lense and nothing else. Here you can see a faint halo and the printing, the middle ring does not reach my pupil in brighter lights, but even so the hole is difficult to see.

Leggings

My new addiction.
I'm not talking wearing leggings as pants though, because we all know that is one of the worst crimes you can commit. LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS. Especially the ones that are so tight that you can see everything...and I mean everything...Not a good look.

I recently bought these, waiting for them to arrive in the next few days, and now comes the task of finding a long top to wear with them. I was thinking just a simple dolman sleeve black something or a distressed sweater dress. With the bottoms being so busy, I wanted to keep the top half toned down, so it's currently a toss up between the two below.

The first long top in black or grey depending on what shade the leggings are when they arrive, and then the second in just a plain black. Here I know I risk looking like a 'vk kid' again, but this is the kind of style I enjoy following for work and college as far as clothes go, where I need to look presentable. I guess the lable is something I need to put up with for a while.

Looking through my lenses and cleaning them all earlier, I think that will be my next post. Circle lenses are another thing I love, and the few pairs I do own I am very particular about, and having blue eyes I'm hoping it might be usefull for some people out there to have my take on them!
